Freon Recovery and Why We Do It

Freon Recovery

Freon Recovery

The most widely used coolant agent in air conditioning units in use today is Freon, and while the HVAC industry has been safely using this compound it needs to be handled and disposed of by professionals. There certain companies that do not follow the same strict environmental standards that our company adheres to and are releasing Freon into the environment where it can cause irreparable harm to the ozone. We make sure that not only do we handle all Freon according to the standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency, we went a step further and decided to participate in a growing HVAC industry practice of recovering Freon in order to recycle it.

Essentially, when replacing or repairing older Heating and Cooling units, our company carefully removes old compressors and brings them back to our shop where we safely remove the freon from each unit. After we have safely removed the old freon, we then process it using EPA approved recovery methods, and the end result is Recovered-Freon which is much better in environmental terms, but also allows us to offer tremendously low prices to our customers when we use Recovered-Freon.

The EPA has come out very strongly in supporting the use of Recovered-Freon, and as part of our commitment to the environment, we will continue to recycle Freon, offer our customers the ability to purchased Recovered-Freon, and provide the absolute best heating and cooling services in the South Florida region.
